We hope you absolutely love your dress — but we understand that sometimes things don’t work out. Below is our returns policy, designed to be fair, transparent, and supportive of our small made-to-order business.

Return Eligibility

We kindly ask that you:

• Notify us within 14 days of receiving your dress if you’d like to initiate a return.

• Return the dress within a further 14 days from the date you contacted us.

To start a return, please email our Customer Service team at info@wedobou.com, and we’ll provide return instructions, including the correct return address. Please do not send returns to the address on the package or our website.

Made-to-Order & Fair Use

All of our wedding dresses are made-to-order especially for you. Because of this, we’re unable to accommodate "buy-many-keep-one" orders. If we believe an order has been placed with this intention, our Customer Service team may cancel it.

Important Return Conditions

To be eligible for a refund:

• The dress must be unworn, unaltered, and in its original condition.

• All tags, packaging, and accessories (including belts, veils, etc.) must be returned with the dress.

• Dresses must be returned in their original packaging, securely packed to avoid damage in transit.

• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Q.  I don't like the fit, what can I do?

Our dresses are tailored specifically for you. To ensure the perfect fit, most of our dresses include a 1-inch seam allowance, allowing your local tailor to easily adjust the size.

Please note, we do not accept returns for sizing issues when the customer has provided their size on our website.

Q. I don't like the color, what can I do?

Certain fabrics may appear differently depending on lighting, computer monitors, or photo angles. Slight variations in color are normal and not considered defects or incorrect delivery. However, if you receive a dress in the wrong color, please contact us immediately.

Q. The dress doesn't look like the one I ordered, what can I do?

We create each dress based on the specifications provided on our website. Please note that the photos feature professional models in UK size 6 or 8 (except for plus-size styles). The same dress in larger sizes may appear slightly different in fit and proportion.

Q. The zipper is not zipping, what can I do?

Some dresses with thick seams or invisible zippers may be difficult to zip up at first. When zipping, pull the zipper slowly and gently. If it gets stuck, move the zipper back and forth to align the teeth. In case the zipper breaks, we recommend taking it to a local tailor for repair.

Q. My dress has a mark on it, what can I do?

All dresses undergo a thorough inspection before shipping and are sent inside out to prevent any marks. If you notice a mark from the tailoring process, it can usually be removed with a small amount of mild clothing soap. Gently rub the area with a damp, soft towel and soap, or consult a professional cleaner for advice.

Q. What does Made-To-Order mean? 

A made-to-order garment is crafted only when an order is placed, providing a more sustainable and cost-effective alternative to mass production. As a result, we do not hold ready-made stock. This approach allows us to minimise waste while ensuring each piece is carefully tailored to the individual measurements provided at the time of purchase.
